ON-FARM TRAINING PROGRAMS
These programs are tailor made to suit specific entrant and existing animal agriculture player requirements in Production Science, Entrepreneurship and Value chain management:
- Beef Production Course
- Dairy Production Course
- Poultry Production Course i.e. Broilers, indigenous chickens, ducks, turkeys etc…
- Pig Production Course
- Intensive Fish enterprise management
- Sheep and goat enterprise management
- Animal nutrition i.e. pastures, ranch management, on- farm feed formulations, feed cost cutting strategies, fodder conservation etc…
OBJECTIVES
- To equip farm owners, workers, directors and farming entrants with knowledge and requisite skills that align them towards sustainable agricultural enterprise management.
- To improve skills in informed decision making at farm level.
- To sensitize new and existing players in animal agriculture on new ways of thinking and problem solving.
Program Duration & Investment
Program duration is mainly dependent on client requirements. We believe that there is no “one size fits all” in agricultural business environments. Clients are required to consult with our Animal Agriscientists for assistance in selection of programs that suit their specific needs.

Investment amount for each participant will be determined by:
- Course Duration
- Entrant/ Existing animal agriculture player
- Group/ Cooperative/ Individual/ Staff member
- Program requirements e.g. pig enterprise requirements differ from poultry enterprises.
A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of each on-farm training program.
Program Structure
Learning programs are bundled in two packages:
Interactive Class (70%)
This is an one-farm class delivered through contemporary media presentations including but not limited to the use of projectors and or digital screens.
Practical Learning (30%)
This part of the course is done in actual animal environments like pens, poultry houses and pasture houses.
